Its massive cooling capacity helps to better regulate your body temperature to keep you cooler, so you're always ready when your back heats up. We took everything the S-Works Prevail II did well, and made it even better. One of the biggest benefits resulted from the removal of seven foam “bridges” from the center and sides to create more effective ventilation channels. A 20% increase in ventilated areas allows air to flow more efficiently throughout the helmet. The faster the air moves through your head, the faster the heat is removed from your head and the cooler you become – this is called “convective heat transfer”. All this in addition to the coolest helmet we've ever made.
The new 5th Dimension ventilation system, with its redesigned and patented aramid-reinforced carbon fiber skeleton, provides internal EPS support, allowing 20% ​​larger openings with deep internal channels and aligned exhaust ports. In addition, the new MIPS SL perforated pillow kit keeps sweat moving and allows for even more breathability.
The S-Works Prevail II Vent comes equipped with ANGi Accident Sensor, to give you and your loved ones peace of mind like never before. When combined with our app for iOS or Android, the sensor will detect a drop and send a text message to specific contacts on your phone. It also syncs with our Specialized Ride app and STRAVA® to provide activity tracking via GPS.
Our ultra light and comfortable version of MIPS, MIPS SL, just got better. We've added perforations, along with a ripstop mesh to maximize breathability and performance. With MIPS SL, we have essentially integrated MIPS technology into the helmet filling itself. The minimalist MIPS SL “bracelet-type” fixation system offers 10 to 15 millimeters of rotation in all directions, while offering the same brain protection benefits as other versions of MIPS. At the same time it brings a new level of comfort and weight reduction.
